The Order of Saint Francis-Lutheran (OSF-L)is an integral part if the ILF. With establishments in Canada and the United States, the Order includes both ordained clergy and lay brothers and sisters who follow the spirit of Saint Francis within the context of the Lutheran understanding of Universal (catholic) Christianity. Establishments are planned for Africa, Asia and Latin America. Friars and sisters are active in bringing the Gospel to all nations, following the principles of the Lutheran Book of Concord. They are "in the world, but not of the world."
