The ILF is a  religious body with a firm Lutheran understanding of catholic/universal Christianity. We are part on the One, Holy, catholic and Apostolic Church, as correctly interpreted through Faith, Grace and Holy Scripture. We are strengthened in Christian unity through the Apostolic Succession of our clergy. We therefore have an episcopal structure and polity, within the spirit of the Lutheran Book of Concord and the Lutheran expression of universal Christianity. In this structure we resonate with that of the Church of Sweden and other European and African churches, and the English Synod, LCMS, without prejudice against other orthodox Christian expressions.

We are international in scope, with commuinities of faith in Africa, Canada, India, Singapore, Venezuela, and accross the United States.   

  Above all, we are Christian in belief, hope, and love for neighbor.   We invite all interested parties to explore our faith community.
